Zero hunger project phase 3 locates Kabusa community in Abuja.

The community of Tersha in Kabusa located in one of the suburbs in Abuja was filled with joy yesterday as members of the Jare Foundation took their Zero hunger project phase 3 to residents of the area.

Foodstuffs and other care items were given out to support them and enable them to prepare their household for the yuletide season.

The conveners of the outreach Bar Mrs. John Ebokpo and Mrs. Rebecca Ebokpo Who lead the young volunteers to be a blessing to the community said phase 3 of the Zero hunger project was so important and dear to the organisation because Tersha community was selected at random after proper advertisement and consultations

Tarsha community was chosen by fans on social media which is why they decided to visit the area and present foodstuffs and other gift items to support the community.

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja Bar. John advised that government should go into mechanized farming as this will be a more robust way to reduce the issue of lack of food items in the country. The issue of herdsmen and farmers clash has also been a major challenge for the agriculture business in Nigeria.

He also added that the project is designed to farm and distribute the produce to the most vulnerable in different states in Nigeria. This year alone, they planted over 4,000 tubers of yam and over 1hecter of land dedicated to farm tomatoes and pepper

He concluded by saying they will be glad if the government can support the initiative with the provision of lands and seedlings to help them farm and feed more people for free.

Also at the event, Mrs. Rebecca Ebokpo explained that their vision is to bring hunger to zero in Nigeria with their farm for charity project as hunger is now becoming a monster. She added that they are open for free-will donations and also ask for free farmlands from well-meaning Nigerians for them to farm and distribute the product for free to the needy in the society.
