Waist Beads - 10 Pieces.

There are many reasons why waist bead is an intricate aspect of Africa and now  American culture..  

1...A symbol of femininity and sensuality 

They're handmade strands,usually made by women for women of any and all body typed and sizes. Traditional Ghanaian signify femininity 

 For some women they will wear there beads under there cloths . Which only allow there lovers to see them as a meaning of sanctity and purity between the two .

While for someone,  the beads are means of seduction to provoke desires... Sometimes, wives would use rattling of the beads to communicate their fertility .

  2...Rites Of Passage & Symbols Of Growth

Waist beads are a rite if passage for some culture, mothers would ornament their daughter with beads during there first mensuration as a ceremonial rite of passage into womanhood.

Each time the new waist bead were inherited, it symbolizes a healthy life, growth, and maturity.. 

    3..measurements and body shaping 

Both traditionally and in modern times, women will wear waist bead to get or keep their bodies intact. It is said that the beads shape your body and keep the waist small and hips accentuated .It was and is still use as measurement tool. Because the beads are not starched, so when that waist bead start to tight the person, its a sign that there was some weight gain and vice versa.... 

      4..Formation of The Beads

In a traditional sense,  the person making a waist bead  is highly a spiritual person.... The beads, shells, stones, and other things that may go in your waist we picked and placed with the intention of something or something very specific. 

    The beads a woman wears for her husband is different from the ones a young girl wears into her transition into womanhood . The trend of waist beads has become very modernized and ornamental, but traditionally, the potency and power of a woman's bead as it relates to spirituality and develoment were very specific and intentional....

5.....colors and meaning 

Speaking of intentions, the colors of the beads also have very specific significations. These meanings may vary from tribe to tribe, culture to culture, and they're open to interpretation, yet traditionally 

* Blue. . .Knowledge ,healing, peace, truth, harmony....a cooling color symbolizing faith, devotion ,deep insight 

* Green ....prosperity, hope, harmony,  healing, generous, humble 

* Red.. Self-confidence,  vitality,  sexual energy,  passion, courage 

* Yellow... Wisdom,  knowledge,  clarity, increasing awareness and calming nerves

NB.... Nowadays.. Waist beads are made by anybody not  only spiritualist .. .Many today wear it for attraction to the opposite sex while some wear it to denote cultism, some also use if for weight check . .. But that does not change the fact that waist beads have been African culture even before we are born....

True, waist bead has been in the African culture for long but civilisation has taken away everything. But many of the waist beads worn by women these days are rarely fall all the aforementioned, they are mostly for spiritual purpose. I rest my case.

@splendourbecause of the high rate of evil we many think otherwise .. But there are still innocent ones that wear it as just  fashion
